The Marketing & Research Development (MRD) department drives market insights, research and innovation to support sustainable growth across the group. To realize her targets the MRD team works closely together with the group and local colleagues of R&D, marketing, procurement, operations and supply chain. Within MRD, the Expert Team focuses on strategic research and knowledge development.
To strengthen this team, we are looking for an experienced
(Interim) R&D Sensory Specialist
1 year, 24 – 32 hr/week
with a hands-on mentality and a passion for sensory. In this role, you will work closely with the senior sensory specialist from corporate and colleagues from various OpCo’s (R&D, marketing, sales). Our sensory panel is based in Zierikzee.
Your role
- Lead and coordinate the professional panel according to the Best Sensory Practice
- Manage panel results (preparation, panel training, QDA measurements, analysis and reporting) and performance (quality, engagement, motivation
- Contribute to strategic agenda on sensory science within Zeelandia
- Build and maintain Zeelandia’s global sensory network
- Collaborate with European OpCos and cross-functional teams on sensory projects
- Strengthen and align sensory expertise within OpCos, including sensory language development
- Support local teams globally with sensory expertise, tools and training
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Food Science or a related field
- Experience in sensory research; certification Sensorisch Onderzoeker B is a plus
- Good project management and people skills
- Solid statistical knowledge; experience with EyeQuestion software is preferred
- Fluent in Dutch (required for leading the sensory panel)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Hands-on mentality and passion for sensory and food innovation
