Group Process Technologist
Who aligns process technology across global operations
To further strengthen their Group Process Technology Team, we are looking for a Process Technologist who will operate at the heart of Zeelandia. In this group-level position, you will play a key role in connecting and advancing process technology across multiple production sites. You will combine hands-on involvement in local projects with responsibility for cross-site alignment, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. Acting as a linking pin between plants, R&D, and engineering, you ensure consistent application and further standardization of process technology throughout the group.
Function title
- Responsible for supporting the harmonization of process technological aspects throughout all the Zeelandia locations, and contributing to local projects
- Support portfolio harmonization and production allocation by translating product requirements into optimal process setups across sites
- Provide process technology input in CAPEX projects, including scope definition, design validation, and commissioning support
- Initiate and support continuous improvement initiatives e.g. on waste reduction, process consistency, and efficiency
- Collaborate with R&D on innovation and NPD projects, including scaling from lab to pilot and industrial production
- Troubleshoot complex process issues across production sites and support local teams in resolving technical challenges
- Contribute to automation and digitalization projects
- Work closely with R&D, Production and Engineering and report to the Group Director Manufacturing.
Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field
- Relevant experience in process technology or manufacturing, preferably within the food or ingredients industry
- Knowledge of industrial processes, process optimization, scale-up from development to production, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Able to operate in an international, cross-functional environment and engage with multiple stakeholders, with strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics
- Intermediate level Dutch, Excellent English and residency in the Netherlands is required
- Willing to travel internationally (10%) and be present in Zierikzee at least 3 days per week
- Personal characteristics: Proactive, enthusiastic and self-starting, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on operational involvement, and able to communicate effectively, build relationships and navigate complexity in dynamic environments.
